Challenge
Transform a basic, single room commercial unit in Wimbledon into a luxurious office with a private members' club vibe.
Design Solution
Divide the unit into several rooms but maintain the light, open-plan feel by using a glazed Crittall-style wall. Bespoke joinery and customised rugs were designed and tailored for the space to reflect the owner’s own impeccable sense of style.
Process
Nine Lives worked with architects to produce plans and schedules specifying all finishes and fixtures, including a kitchen and private WC. We designed a Crittall-style wall with specialist bronze finish and created intricate cabinetry in a mixture of walnut and eucalyptus for each of the new areas. A bespoke boardroom table included a flash of brass – a design detail running across all the joinery for this project - and we collaborated with a textile designer to customise rugs for each client-facing space.
